Maps and Weather Control Add-ins in NAV 2009 SP1

The Virtual Earth and Weather control add-ins were added to the Customer Card. They can be used to extend the user experience by displaying data from Microsoft Dynamics NAV in a new way and also by showing the data, related to a particular record, from external applications. All customers in the database are GEO-coded with their location, which allows to see this location on the map and also get the weather data for this region.
Note: Internet access is necessary in order for Maps and Weather Control Add-ins work properly.

1. In the Role Center, in the Search box in the upper right corner, type Customers and select the item with Departments/Sales & Marketing/Sales location. Customer list place opens.
2. Double click customer no. 20000, Selangorian Ltd. Customer Card opens. 3. Scroll down the FactBox area to see the Customer Location and Customer Location Weather FactBoxes.
